ABSTRACT
Locality at the base of the Aka Aiteputh Formation in the Samburu Hills, northern Kenya, on the eastern face of the rift escarpment north of Lake Baringo. Numerous teeth and jaw fragments of “Kenyapithecus” africanus but now assigned to Sambinupithecus 1ishidai, have been collected from this site, now dated to ca. 15.5 Ma.
