ABSTRACT
Science currently has no National Strategy to support teachers in delivering the National Curriculum for Science, but the QCA (Qualifications and Curriculum Authority) has produced a Scheme of Work for Science in Key Stages 1 and 2 that exemplifies how the National Curriculum could be delivered. Many schools adopt the scheme, though most adapt the individual units of work to fit their school, their pupils and their resources. As a result, the majority of the content of this chapter focuses on the use of ICT in supporting the process of teaching and learning through the QCA Scheme of Work.
