ABSTRACT

This third section of the book provides an overview of how ICT can support you as a teacher more broadly. The aim of this is to help you to address the requirements in the professional standards for qualified teacher status (TTA/Df ES, 2002) to ‘know how to use ICT effectively . . . to support their wider professional role’ (2.5 p. 8). As part of your progress towards attaining the professional standards for QTS you will need to keep a record of your learning. This section also describes how ICT can support you in this task.
