ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces an Information systems/information technology (IS/IT) readiness model which is capable of measuring the organisational several key elements following the maturity modelling concept. Readiness models should have appropriate structures to embrace the four key elements: process, people, IT infrastructure and work environment. The model is attempting to describe, depending on accumulated experiences and previous research models, the status of organisations’ IS/IT maturity at each of those levels. The technical expertise was limited in scope where IS/IT project development was mainly done to accommodate new changes in governmental laws and regulations that reflect into the way ServInst conducts its work. The organisation needs the IS/IT unit to support the activities of users, and both cooperate on equal bases as partners.
