ABSTRACT
A number of studies have shown the links between cold houses, condensation dampness, climate and poverty – not only of the general kind, but in its special form of ‘fuel poverty’. Others have shown the effects of these on both morbidity and mortality. This chapter examines these factors in the context of Glasgow but the analysis and its conclusions will have general application in cold climates.
