ABSTRACT

A developmental manager, such as Fujisawa or Jaworski, may participate in a fundamental transformation of spirit, and of energy, but will lack the power to complete the revolution in which each has played an important part. For while adopter and enabler merge with, and harness, potential, innovator and adventurerbetween them-actually create it. While, for example, Henry Ford in the America of yesterday created an entire automobile industry Anita Roddick in Britain today is creating a new industry founded upon naturally based cosmetics. Both have combined innovation and adventure in their far-reaching activities. While Ford ventured out on the open seas, engaging in his somewhat bizarre peace missions, Roddick travels about the world, discovering and transforming traditional methods of skin and hair care. Both have missions that transcend the material world, and yet partake fundamentally of it.
