ABSTRACT

This conclusion points out the relevance of the arguments presented throughout the book to a debate on (in)fertility that is long overdue in our society. An open discussion on this subject is not taking place because of both the taboo status of the issue and the economic interests that, under the cover of silence, thrive on childlessness being seen as a problem. It also deals with the healing effects of writing and how “moving on” is not a static end-state, rather a dynamic process of building one’s peace, step by step, through daily trial and error, appreciating the journey, finding the balance.
