ABSTRACT

The volume’s conclusion steps back in order to assess the nature of the transcultural movements unearthed over the course of its enquiry. It focusses on the work of the Iraqi-American artist Hayv Kahraman, specifically her 2016 work Search, as a potent exemplar of the creative territory in which we arrive when we travel via the transcultural feminist imagination. The conclusion also returns to the PAMOJA group’s journey along the river with which the volume began, and via their steps – transformed, through transcultural feminist creativity, into a poem – it traces the many imaginative tributaries waiting to be followed through further acts of feminist enquiry.
