ABSTRACT
This chapter intends to capture the scientific principles of evolution, the evidence for evolution, and covers a brief historical survey. This is then followed by a review and evaluation of the criticisms that are levied against the theory. The chief aim here is to clarify what evolution is and isn't strictly as a scientific theory, and remove any misconceptions surrounding it.
