ABSTRACT
In a context where there is a stronger belief – as there seems to be currently – in the biological reality of binary sex difference than in the biological reality of racial hierarchy or even of different races, the White gender-binary ideal, through its visceral aesthetic appeal, may serve to re-anchor race to the body. And this may happen even in cases where one knows, intellectually, that biological race is a myth.
