ABSTRACT
This chapter provides an introductory exploration of the range of climate services that may be utilized by state and local government actors, as well as those service operations within various components of the financial sector. The chapter also highlights the basic climate change indicators that form the basis of publicly derived and managed data within the State of California. The chapter highlights procurements considerations that are intended to guide the selection and contracting of a climate service provider.
