The question discussed in Chapter 3 is: ‘Which factors influence wealth-creation processes in the emergence of the Fourth Industrial Revolution?’
Our findings in Chapter 3 are that two factors influence the wealth-creation processes: extreme specialization and cascades of innovations. We also show that cascades of innovation lead to minor and major economic and social crises
