ABSTRACT
This chapter explores the connections between ejaculation and masculinity, while also highlighting how ejaculation has become more and more visible. Importantly, in many of the texts to be considered in this book, ejaculation becomes a sign of infertility, and thus it becomes a measure of virility, manhood, and masculinity. This chapter thus lays some of the theoretical groundwork for the subsequent chapters by teasing out the connections and highlighting the challenges.
