ABSTRACT
The book concludes with final points about academic library internationalization within the conceptual framework of why, where, who, and how. Why reestablishes the necessary conditions for internationalization before affirming the importance of deliberate implementation. Where discusses more where leadership for internationalization can emerge, and what it must do at both internal and external levels. Who reaffirms the book’s commitment to understanding stakeholders on individual terms while still acknowledging transformational/transactional motivations and domestic or international status. How revisits thinking about immersion, along with the importance of trust when discussing it, both in terms of practice and scholarship. Within these concluding sections are suggestions for further inquiry that will hopefully inspire new research directions and themes in the literature about academic library internationalization.
