ABSTRACT

I’d changed a great deal during my thirty-four years of teaching at Sidwell Friends. In the spring of 2007, with my retirement approaching, I decided to reflect on my goals as a teacher. My principal, Jeff Guckert, gave me an extra incentive by inviting me to bid farewell to the departing seniors at an Upper School collection the day before graduation.
