ABSTRACT
This chapter provides the basis for and examples of gender and diversity mainstreaming. It starts with several examples from local areas in Europe and then turns to a general approach to Gender and Diversity Action Plan/Planning (GADAP), providing examples of tools that are common in the international and European contexts of gender mainstreaming.
