ABSTRACT
Looking beyond dictionaries and term banks, this chapter considers a range of other tools and resources that can be useful for supporting translation activities, with a focus on those that are freely available online. Examples of tools and resources explored in this chapter include metasearch engines, bilingual concordancers, discussion forums, grammar checkers, and text-to-speech tools. Readers will also learn the importance of evaluating tools and resources and pick up some tips for doing so. The chapter ends with some discussion points, practical exercises, and suggestions for further reading.
