ABSTRACT
This chapter brings together the key findings of each previous chapter and puts them together to contextualise the key question of the entire manuscript regarding the role of EU law in contributing to the policy objective of combating poverty and social exclusion. To this end, it underscores the key messages learnt from the previous passages on the topics of social policy (Chapter 2), fundamental rights (Chapter 3), EU constitutional framework (Chapter 4) and its implementation (Chapter 5) to provide a final answer. It also signals a number of necessary future research points and provides some general concluding remarks.
