ABSTRACT
How to structure the findings of a practical theological research project in a research report? Most research reports, whether they are master's theses or doctoral dissertations, or journal articles, have a logical structure, but the exact structure has variations. This chapter discusses these structures. The authors present three prototypical examples of how a practical theological research project can be outlined. Next, the chapter goes into more detail about various elements to be addressed within different sections of a research report: Introduction, Theoretical Framework, Research Design, Results, and Conclusion and Discussion. Furthermore, the authors explain why and how reporting or writing is inherently a part of doing research. The chapter ends with how to best anticipate the way peer reviewers will consider a submitted research manuscript.
