ABSTRACT

This chapter addresses the final step in the design process of a research project in Practical Theology (What do we learn? Drawing and discussing conclusions). The chapter explores relating practical theological research when you have diverse audiences: the audience of practitioners, the audience of colleagues or scholars of practical theology worldwide, and the audience of policymakers. Furthermore, the chapter discusses how to strive to be reciprocal and inclusive in the dissemination of research results. It is argued that dissemination not only starts in the final phase of the research project but, instead, that dissemination occurs in bits and pieces throughout the whole research trajectory. Being reciprocal and inclusive in disseminating research and discussing conclusions is an important contribution to handling power balances in doing research. The last part of the chapter discusses communication about the practical theological research project in the media.
