ABSTRACT
The epilogue summarises the importance of Salles’ film for the theme of youth. It is argued that the way in which Guevara is portrayed as an emerging adult in The Motorcycle Diaries contributes to his lasting presence as a transgenerational symbol of youth and resistance.
