ABSTRACT

Chapter 3 shows in detail the process of cooperation between universities and organisations through action research at the university. First, it presents the determinants for the implementation of cooperation processes based on action research with emphasis on the role of the university in shaping cooperation with stakeholders. Thinking about the university as a socially responsible organisation and, in this perspective, including a methodological approach such as AR allowed the key stages of the university-organisation cooperation process to be distinguished, which are: diagnosis, initiation, adaptation, research and ethical aspects, recommendation and implementation plan, implementation of the designed change and evaluation. For each stage, the actions that are taken both by the university as well as the collaborating organisation are shown. The actors involved are also identified. The collaborative process model presented is based on our empirical research. This chapter also presents the limitations of our model.
