ABSTRACT

This chapter presents the goals, methods, and subject matter in this book. It explores morality management, defined as the process of influencing moral value preferences. The text investigates how situation ethics might be applied to address the boundaries of moral understanding and establish objectives for morality management. The text underscores the necessity of engaging in philosophical enquiry to evaluate the utility of divergent normative presumptions for managing morality. The book thoroughly analyses situation ethics and its implementation in management. It specifically focuses on the ambiguities and contradictions in the situationist idea of morality management and suggests potential resolutions. The study comprises seven chapters that examine critical methods, risk criticisms and remedies for shortcomings of situation ethics. The book argues that despite criticism, situation ethics remains relevant in different disciplines, and this monograph explores its application in the context of moral decision-making in management.
