ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the evaluation and measurement of financial communication and investor relations. First, it outlines the role and importance of evaluation for effective financial communication – and discusses common objections and obstacles to evaluation in practice. It builds on established insights into financial communication effects and derives a framework for the conceptualization, differentiation, and assessment of financial communication and investor relations effects. It presents and systematizes tools for evaluation, to then develop an integrated model of financial communication evaluation. Finally, the chapter presents insights into the current state of financial communication evaluation in practice.
