ABSTRACT

The concluding chapter constitutes an extended summary, enhanced by considerations about the future. First, it presents comprehensive conclusions formulated during all stages of this project, not only the final recommendations described in Chapter 4. Second, it takes the broader perspective by briefly assessing the potential of suggested changes to improve the regulatory systems of other systemic entities, such as systemically important insurers, central clearing counterparties, Big Tech, or Big Pharma. Lastly, this chapter reaches beyond the US–EU comparison and reflects on the role of recommended actions in other banking systems.
