ABSTRACT
The chapter applies the central ideas of Chapter 4 to experiences where subjects see, hear or sense spirits as external entities. It provides examples of such experiences and distinguishes different forms. It critically investigates whether alternative, scientific causal explanations for how such experiences arise constitute defeaters.
