ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses factors that contribute to disengagement based on the views of interviewees as to what is required for successful disengagement. The main concern of this book has been engagement in various forms of politico-ideological mobilisation and violence, but many insights can be derived from the narratives regarding the factors that contribute to disengagement. Although an in-depth engagement exceeds the scope of this work, these findings are worth exploring briefly.
