ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses verbalisations in -izar. It is proposed that this suffix spells out a structure whose lower layer is characterised as an iotta phrase, not specifying further its spell out nature. This explains that this suffix has a very broad range of meanings: in the absence of lexical PP layers, this suffix is compatible with structures containing Pred, Res, p[manner] and p interpreted as result, triggering a set of verb types that is comparable to non parasynthetic verbs in -a.
