Chapter 7 presents the inherent design logic that underpins the bluefield housing model at the scale of the lot for privacy, amenity, functionality, and neighbourliness. It deals with the prosaic concerns of car parking, rubbish bins, and laundry, and discusses strategies for water sensitive design, site sharing, privacy, and the opportunity for backyard pets.
