ABSTRACT
Dr. Ann Feldman’s personal story of shifting from a professional singer to a changemaker through media and the arts illuminates the critical life choices and crossroads many people face. This story also highlights a successful strategy to build a community of colleagues, lawyers, board members, partners, and funders to create the nonprofit Artistic Circles. The case study shows how two young artists approached creating a business plan to produce a ground-breaking musical CD during the COVID-19 pandemic. Questions and suggested actions help guide students and teachers in discussions about budgets, fundraising, and marketing plans for a social change project.
