ABSTRACT
This chapter addresses current linguistic, cultural, and political obstacles—real or imagined—to the (re)reading of primary historical sources from a transcultural perspective. Transculturalism and how the people of the world see each other is the focus of the chapter. It considers how enhancing traceable and validated historical information is revolutionising interactive and dynamic web-based media. Algorithmic thinking can overcome linguistic obstacles and cultural barriers in reading primary historical sources.
