ABSTRACT

Chapter 9 contains the effects of empirical verification to study the real theoretical and practical usefulness of Employability Market Orientation. It presents the research scheme and hypotheses with assumption justification. For each of the variables, the indicators and diagnostic tools used were described, along with an analysis of their reliability. Information on the adopted method of statistical analysis of the study results based on the Pearson’s r correlation, linear regression analysis, multiple regression analysis, multivariate analysis of variance and the path model is included. The effects of the operationalization of Employability Market Orientation and relationships with demographic variables are presented. The path model of adaptation to the changing labour market based on Employability Market Orientation was verified. It turned out to have better adjustment parameters than the simultaneously validated model based on Savickas’s CAAS model. The profile of the employee who exhibits Employability Market Orientation is presented. In the final part, there is a discussion of the results and the sources of limitations of inference from the adopted research process, together with the directions of further research.
