ABSTRACT
The world desperately needs women leaders, in part because women lead extremely collaboratively, which is the super skill most required for the likely existential crises of the future. Women’s funds have become experts at supporting women leaders because they’ve been doing it, collectively, for a long time. Women’s funds recognize that women’s leadership, particularly women’s collective leadership, is critical to confront entrenched systems of oppression. This chapter explores the stories of the Catalyze collaboration, the National Philanthropic Collaborative of Young Women’s Initiatives, and the Solís Policy Institute, and how they cultivate and support legions of women leaders.
