ABSTRACT
This chapter is devoted to a consideration of AI and robots from the perspective of religious life. There is a debate going on about the possible effects that artificial intelligence and robotics could have on the religious practices of humans. There is an overview of ways in which contemporary religions adopt robots. There is also discussion about AI as a potential subject of religious movements. Then there is a shift to the law and issues of protection of the freedom of religions. Finally, there is an analysis of different behaviors involving AI and robots that may constitute crimes against freedom of religion.
