ABSTRACT

This final chapter pulls together the results of the previous discussions and case studies. Nine implications are directed towards academics, policymakers, and practitioners. These implications include (1) going beyond the binary by bridging the religious-secular divide; (2) reading religion right by means of a seven-dimensional model of religion; (3) creating spaces of trust for encounters between all relevant actors; (4) investing in bilinguality and religious literacy; (5) encouraging immanent critics; (6) rethinking religious leadership to make the impact of women more visible; (7) better inclusion of youth by improving use of social media; (8) investments in accountability and impact measures; and (9) recognising and strengthening the power of multifaith engagement.
