ABSTRACT
In this chapter, stories about and perspectives on physical education are provided through the lens of Jenna Fesemyer. Jenna Fesemyer, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Paralympian, chose to discuss her physical education experiences throughout elementary, middle, and high school. She described what it was like to have a prosthetic leg while in integrated physical education settings. Jenna concluded her chapter with a brief reflection and shared her hopes for youth currently in physical education. Readers will have opportunities to learn from the experiences of the author and will be able to reflect on these experiences as they relate to the readers’ future teaching careers.
