ABSTRACT
In this chapter, stories about and perspectives on PE are provided through the lens of Maddy Mau. Maddy Mau, a rising high school senior at the time of this chapter, described participating in student leadership such as founding the school’s disability advocacy organization. The author then described a typical day in PE and what it was like to be educated alongside sighted peers. Maddy also provided a list of accessibility issues that relate to the PE of visually impaired students before concluding with recommendations to improve PE. Readers will have opportunities to learn from the experiences of the author and will be able to reflect on these experiences as they relate to the readers’ future teaching careers.
