ABSTRACT
Located in a picturesque environment of Nallamalai Hills, Srisailam, the abode of Shiv 1 and Shakti, 2 is on the right side of the river Krishna in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh, South India. The presiding deity of this kshetram 3 is God Mallikarjuna Swamy who is one of the 12 jyotirlingas. 4 Goddess Bhramaramba Devi is one of the 18 mahashaktis, 5 and both are believed to be self-manifested.
