Introduction

This chapter provides an overview of the organization of the book. It highlights the division of the book into a conceptual overview (Chapter 2), project lifecycle guidance (Chapters 3–14), and example documents (Appendix 1–5). It highlights the structure of each chapter. Each chapter subsection contains headers indicating a conceptual overview, equity and inclusion considerations, implementation guidance, ideas for grade-level differentiation, and representative examples of student work. It also highlights the motivation for writing the book through a story about helping a middle school student unexperienced with the origin of rain in the desert.
