ABSTRACT
This chapter delves into the latest advances in the field of translation technologies with a special emphasis on those used in the media localisation industry. The discussion delves into industry-led development and the status quo of audiovisual translators’ workstations. The chapter includes an overview of desktop- and cloud-based systems used in the media localisation industries, followed by an examination of state-of-the-art solutions for the teaching of AVT practices. As a novelty, the last section offers insights into a private vendor’s system to describe workflows and PM in professional AVT projects.
