ABSTRACT
After taking stock of the most salient discussion points from the three main chapters of the book, this chapter offers some concluding remarks on both the present state of affairs in audiovisual translation and its future. This chapter hints at the changes that are expected in the media localisation industry and the teaching of audiovisual translation in general as well as the rampant innovations propelled by language automation in particular.
