ABSTRACT

This chapter provides an in-between conclusion in the shape of a project-internal comparison of the three regional cases. It shows how responsible research and innovation (RRI) gets translated in each of the three R&I ecosystems. It does so by exploring different ideas about what it means to do “good participation” and asks how these ideas relate to notions of impact and legacy and how they are enacted through different maintenance practices. In this way, the chapter studies how the different ecosystems afford certain activities, thereby acting as carriers and mediators while being themselves re-shaped in subtle ways.
