ABSTRACT
The introduction presents the subject of the book and provides a justification for undertaking such a study. It describes the international cooperation between national competition authorities and the role of transnational networks in developing it. The methods and materials used in the book are also discussed in this chapter. This is followed by a presentation of the structure of the book. The introduction clarifies some terminological issues that are important for further considerations in the book. In order to assist the reader, the introduction provides bibliographical annotations which may become a starting point for further independent studies.
