ABSTRACT

This Conclusion offers a recapitulation of the book’s main claims, focusing on the shifting senses of Yoga philosophy and different yoga practices that were received by German thinkers over the course of the nineteenth century. It places emphasis on the counter-readings developed by Vivekananda, Dasgupta, Radhakrishnan, and Bhattacharyya, as attempts to vindicate the unity of classical Yoga as a philosophical doctrine.
