ABSTRACT
Chapter 2 discusses three frameworks for understanding the sociology of science in cybersecurity. It discusses the importance of demarcation and various supporting processes by adapting the concept of laboratories. Through understanding processes of the profession, this chapter discusses standards of evidence in forensic reverse-engineering and cyberinsurance. The notion of a thought collective helps to clarify discoveries.
