ABSTRACT
Chapter 1 sets the stage for the 2022 Quality of Life (QOL) Survey by outlining the research context of Singapore and the rationale for the QOL Surveys in Singapore. We provide details of the research methodology used, including the development of the questionnaire, the sampling frame and data quality control procedures. We then present the profile of respondents with a note on its representativeness and the plan for data analysis. We end with a roadmap of the book chapters to follow.
