ABSTRACT
This chapter digs into the process of setting D&I targets. It outlines key steps of setting targets and introduces principles of good D&I target setting. The chapter then discusses which baseline data to use for understanding the status quo and which reference data to compare that status quo to. It explains how to set D&I target levels and target ranges. The chapter finishes with thoughts on setting timelines, monitoring progress towards targets and reviewing D&I targets.
