ABSTRACT
This chapter gives a resumé of the science behind climate breakdown and its irreversible impact on all global life, particularly the global poor. It discusses the causes of climate change, warming trends and the role of the fossil fuel and agricultural industries. Written by a climate scientist and activist, it calls for commensurate and immediate decisive action. Further, it suggests it is critical for those working in climate fields to seek psychological support and for therapists to be prepared to deal with intense climate issues.
