ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the research context and research methods for the empirical investigations in the Focus. It begins by introducing the research site, providing essential background on the higher education institution in Hong Kong, where the empirical studies in the following chapters were conducted. Next, the research approaches and related methods are briefly summarized as a methodological overview of our empirical studies. Last but not least, relevant ethical considerations are demonstrated and discussed, and such considerations are important for readers who are interested in working on similar research in the future.
