ABSTRACT
Chapter 5 presents the results of empirical research conducted on managers. The subchapters present the obtained data in tables and figures; the data is analysed in detail by means of advanced statistical tools, and a psychological interpretation of the identified interdependencies is provided. The achieved empirical results are thoroughly discussed and then compared with the research hypotheses formulated in the methodological part of the publication. The presented research findings aim to capture the relationship between the surveyed managers’ strategies for responding to stressful situations and their preferred conflict resolution styles. The obtained knowledge about the relationship between an individual’s conflict resolution styles and preferred styles of coping with stress is subjected to multi-aspect analysis and interpretation. The conclusions provide a good insight into the mechanisms and causes of the examined relationships.
